                                    Unit 1 He can’t see.

一、教学目标

1. 语言技能

(1)听:能听懂课堂活动中简单的提问。

(2)说:能就所熟悉的确动物习性进行简短汇报。

(3)读:借助于图片进行简单描述。

(4)写:模仿范例写句子。

2. 知识技能目标:

(1)能听懂、读、会说句型He can’t see .She can’t hear. The firemen can’t find people.

(2)正确运用 She/He/They can’t ….

(3)“三会”单词:blind, hear, deaf, firemen, useful, programme, sausage

3. 情感态度

(1)通过学习用英语简单向他人描述自己所喜欢的动物能做和不能做的事。

(2)通过与同学的交流活动,加强同学间的友谊。

二、教学策略

采用任务型进行教学,在小组合作学习,培养学生的学习英语兴趣。

三、教学重点

1. 三会单词:blind, hear, deaf, firemen, useful, programme, sausage

2. 句子: He can’t see. She can’t hear. The firemen can’t find people.

四、教学难点

正确运用 She/He/They can’t ….

五、教具

单词卡片、幻灯片和作业纸等。

六、教学过程

Step 1 Before-reading activities

1. Know each other

Hello! I’m your new English teacher today. First, I’d like to make friends with you.

I like red. What color do you like?

Apples are good for our health. Do you like apples?

Dogs are our good friends. Do you like dogs?

Can you run fast/ jump high/ do your homework/ read English books?

Do you want to know something about me? (introduce my hometown and my favourite animal)

2. Pre-teaching difficult key words

(1) useful

I like dogs. Dogs can play with children/ help the police/ save people’s lives/ look after the house. They are very useful.

(2) programme

Dogs are useful. TV programmes are useful, too.

(3) Brainstorm: What do you want to know?

Amy, Ling Ling and Sam are watching a TV programme, too.

What do you want to know from this picture?



Step 2 During-reading activities

1. Watch the 1st and 2nd dialogues, then answer: What’s the programme about?

2. blind

What’s the matter with this man? (He can’t see.)

Can you see something on the screen?

Can you see something now?

The man can’t see. He is blind.

2. hear, deaf

What’s the matter with this girl? (She can’t hear)

This girl can’t hear, either. She is deaf.

3. fire, firemen

What’s wrong with these men? (They can’t find people.)

Why can’t they find people? (fire)

If there’s fire, we need firemen.

5. Watch the last dialogue and answer: Can they have a dog? What are hot dogs? Are they dogs?

6. sausage

They’re not real dogs. They’re sausages.

7. Watch the whole text and tick (Classwork A)

8. Read after the cartoon.

9. Read in roles



Step 3 After-reading activities

1. Retell the text according to the blackboard writing

2. Classwork B: Fill in the blanks

3. Tell more about dogs

4. Talk about some animals with ‘can’ and ‘can’t’.

This is a cat. It can run. It can jump high. But it can’t swim.
