Unit 1 Happy Thanksgiving!
广西师范学院初等教育学院05本4班 陈桂翠
一、 教学内容:
外研社《小学新标准英语》(三年级起点)第七册第四模块第一单元 。
课文内容如下:
Module 4
Unit 1 Happy Thanksgiving!
Simon: look, Daming. Tomorrow is Flag Day.
Daming: What do you do on Flag Day?
Simon: We carry flags and we sing songs.
Daming: Can you tell me more about American festivals, Simon?
Simon: Well, Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.
Daming: What do you do on Thanksgiving Day?
Simon: We always have a special meal. It’s a big family dinner.
Daming: That’s good.
Simon: On the Thanksgiving Day, we say ”thank-you” for our food, family and friends.
Daming: That sounds nice.
Simon: And after Thanksgiving dinner, we watch a big football game on TV.
Daming: That’s great! I think I like Thanksgiving, too.
二、教学对象:金陵小学六年级学生
三、学习目标:
(一)语言知识
1. 能理解、认读生词:festival, special, meal, sound。
2. 能理解和认读句子”We always have a special meal.””We say‘thank-you’ for your food,family and friends.”
(二)语言技能目标
1. 能阅读理解课文;
2. 能模仿朗读课文。
3. 能用口头运用”We always have a special meal. We say ‘thank-you’ for your food, family and friends.”这类语句介绍节日主要活动。
4. 能书写单词”thank”.
(三)情感态度目标:
1. 能谈论和描述课文所介绍的节日,并产生对其他的西方节日的兴趣。
2.能在积极参与活动、和他人合作完成任务的过程中获得学习乐趣和学习成就感。
四、教学重点难点:
(一)重点:
1.基本能听懂、会读festival, special, meal, sound,能写love.
2. 能理解和认读句子”We always have a special meal.” ”We say‘ thank-you’ for your food, family and friends.”
(二)难点:各词汇的发音及理解。
五、 教学方法:直观教学法、提问法,精讲多练,充分发挥学生的主体作用,在活动中,通过合作学习,游戏法学习,建立团队意识和集体责任感。
六、教学准备:磁带、相应的单词卡片:festival, special, meal, sound, love.
七、教学过程:
Step 1 warming-up
1. Greeting .
2. Sing the song ”we wish you a happy Christmas.”
(设计意图:在上课之前,先唱一首有关Christmas的歌,有助于开展下面的课文教学,同时也可以集中学生的注意力、活跃课堂气氛,让一开始上课就可以让所有的学生都能参与到活动中来。)
T: Do you like Christmas?
Ss:…
Ss:We always ......
T: 打开课文指向四幅图问:What do you do on Christmas?
T: For example, look at the Santa Claus, he gives presents to the children.
S: He gives presents to the children.
T:Look at picture 2,they sing Christmas song.
S: they sing Christmas song.
T:On picture 3,they have a big family dinner.
S: They have a big family dinner.
T:They have a Christmas tree.
(设计意图:提前让学生体验如何描述节日)
Step 2 Presentation
1. T: Can you tell me more about the other festivals?
2. Ss: Mother's Day, Father's Day, Children's Day...
有学生说出Flag Day和Thanksgiving Day就依式导入,没有老师就直接问: Do you know Flag Day and Thanksgiving Day?
板书: Flag Day Thanksgiving Day.
(设计意图:直接板书出两个节日,以便自然的进入课文的学习)
展示一面美国国旗
T:What’s this?
S:flag./American flag.(美国国旗)
T:Yes,It’s an American flag. So Flag Day 就是美国的国旗日。拿出一朵花,给一位学生,给之前先问
TVery Happyo you want the flower?
S:Yes.
T:There you are.
S:Thank you.
T:You are welcome.面对全班学生
T:If someone give we something,we will say’thank you’.In Amrican,there is a special day,on that day,they say ’thank you’for their food,family and friends. That is Thanksgiving Day.
边说边展示有关Thanksgiving Day 的图片给学生看。
T:Thanksgiving Day 就是感恩节。
3. T: Ok, let’s learn the text .
(Show the word card :festival)
T: Follow me, festival.
S: Festival.读后再板书到黑板上,让同学看着写。
(依次教学special, meal, sound, )
(设计意图:学习课文前先学习一些新词,便于学生在听课文时的理解)
3.Listen to the tape and answer the questions.
1). What do people do on Flag Day?
2). What do people do on Thanksgiving Day?
播放一遍之后,再听一遍,让学生先找第一个问题的答案, Answers:
They carry flags and sing songs.再听第三遍,找第二个问题的答案。 They always have a special meal on Thanksgiving .Before the dinner, they say ' Thank you' for the foods, family and friends. They watch a big football game.
(设计意图:分开找两个问题的答案,不会使学生觉得太难。)
4. T: Listen to the tap again and follow it.
(设计意图:小结之后再播放录音,让学生跟读课文中的句子,每句之后停顿,要求学生重点模仿句子的语音语调。根据学生具体掌握情况决定跟读录音次数,可以使学生更好掌握课文,同时也可以训练学生的读书能力。)
Step 3 Practice
T:Look at part 2,listen.
听完一次之后T:Let’s say.Now I’m A,you all are B.
老师和同学对读,再让学生自己和同桌分角色对读。
(设计意图:反复练习句子,可以达到让学生能更好的掌握本课的重点句子)

八.Homework
1.抄写新单词。
2.把自己理解的感恩节的情况讲给家人及朋友听。
3.尝试用英语描述一下中国的传统节日,例如:“At Spring Festival ,we eat a big family dinner. Family member get together .They talk to each other .Children play games. Parents buy new clothes for their children…
(设计意图:巩固所学新知识,为下节课的学习做准备)
板书设计:
What do you do on Christmas?
Flag Day Thanksgiving Day.
